MLK Celebration & Day of Service

Additional Information

Manchester, GA – Family Support Circle, Inc. (FSC) invites the community to join them for their MLK Celebration & Day of Service on January 16, 2023. The event, which will take place at 243 Main Street, will begin at 11:00 AM and end at 3:00 PM.

The celebration will feature a range of activities, including interactive games, service projects, and activities that are designed to celebrate, educate, and share the teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. There will also be a community food distribution, care packets, gently used clothing, socks, toilet tissue, and a bouncy house for children. Food will be provided, including cotton candy, hot dogs, nachos, and drinks.

"We're excited to bring the community together to celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and to give back to those in need," said Dr.Elna Poulard, President and Founder of Family Support Circle, Inc. "This is a great opportunity for families to come together and make a positive impact in our community."

The event is being held in partnership with Legacy of Glory Ministries and Favor House. "We are grateful for the support of these organizations and the opportunity to collaborate with them on this event," said Dr. Poulard. “We are also thankful for Darius Johnson and Brenda Pearson for supporting this event!”

Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to sign up for the organization's after-school tutoring program, which provides academic support and enrichment activities to youth in the community.

"Dr. King's legacy is one of service and community building," said Dr. Poulard. "We are honored to be able to continue that legacy by hosting this event and providing support to those in need in our community."

The event is free and open to the public, and all are encouraged to attend. Family Support Circle, Inc. encourages attendees to bring non-perishable food items to donate to the community food distribution.

"We hope to see the community come together to celebrate Dr. King's life and legacy, while also making a positive impact in the lives of those in need," said Dr. Poulard.
